She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Albert Davis and Geraldine Lewis Davis (Rockwell); her son Stephen Douglas (Pamela) of Youngstown, Ohio; her siblings, Steven Lewis (Vali) of Aliso Viejo, CA, Joyce Guthrie of Upper Marlboro, MD, Claudia Hughes (Ron) of Memphis, TN and Tina Motton (Stanley) of Dallas, TX; her sister-in-law Alberta Lewis of Rock Island, IL; her grandchildren, Aapri Douglas, Brittany Douglas, Donté Pittman, Stephanie Douglas, Khalia Douglas, Anthony Douglas and James Dewitt Douglas; her cousins, Patricia Randolph (Bobby), Willie Dean Smith and Willie George Smith; her nieces and nephews, Kenny Lewis, Angela Lewis, Kevin Lewis, Duane Lewis, Jr., Bryon Guthrie, Kelly Guthrie, Melony Lewis, Garland Calhoun, Steven Lewis, Jr., Nikkya Lewis and Sean Lewis; her close friends, Bertha Wright, Betty Miller, Charlene Nelson, Cynthia Christle, Denice Deckard, Desiree Ballard and Yolanda Brooks; her son James Dewitt Douglas IV; her brother Duane Lewis; her nephew Sonny Lewis; and her niece Gina Lewis. She was also cherished by thirteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions may be made in honor of Marlene, to the American Cancer Society, or similar organizations that support breast cancer research.
