He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Simmons Sr. and Vennie Etta Simmons (Ford); his son Robert Simmons; and his brother James Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Patricia A Simmons; his children, Christopher Simmons (Melena) and Julie Clemmer (John); his daughter-in-law Tabetha; his grandchildren, Austin Sherman, Sarah Clemmer, Kirsten Simmons, Andrew Clemmer, Kylie Simmons and Kaleb Simmons; his great grandchild Colt; and his siblings, William Simmons (Amy) and Anna Simmons.
