He was predeceased by: his parents, James Emmit O'Flannagan and Betty Marie O'Flannagan (Elliot). He is survived by: his wife Josephine Betts of Wylie; his children, Rick Betts of Port Orchard, Jimmy Thurman of Garland and Sandy Smith of Moore, Oklahoma.; and his brothers, Tommy Lee Thurman, Charles Askew, Randy Askew, Michael Askew, Jerry Askew and Robert O'Flannagan. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
