He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Frederick Sr. and Alice Matthies; his son-in-law John Wood; and his grandson Jack Frederick Wood. He is survived by: his brother Charlie; his daughter Amy Louise (Scott Grigg); his wife Annette Matthies; his grandsons, Nick and Sam Wood; his brother Charles Matthies (Alice); his goddaughter Toni Hans; and his cousin Kenneth Hans. He is also survived by many other family members from both sides of his family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Lake View Cemetery (2343 Lake Rd, Lavon, TX 75166). A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
