He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Walter Steward and Etta Viola Steward (Gilliam); his son Leslie O. Steward; and his siblings, Martha Faye Steward, Floetta Boles and Thomas B. Steward.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie Steward of Rowlett, TX; his children, Lolette Stephenson (Oscar) of Jefferson, TX, Lana Steward of Longview, TX, Alicia Steward of St. Louis, MO and Kimberly Granahan (Ken) of Sherman, TX; his grandchildren, T. J., Brandon, Shelby, Joey, Shawn, Kaitlyn and Rebecca; and his brother James Steward (Anita) of Shreveport, LA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
