He was predeceased by: his parents, Keith Merl Carstedt and Zorah Marietta Abbott; and his daughter Jennifer Carstedt. He is survived by: his wife Patty Conner; his daughter Nicola Pribyl (William); his grandchildren, Michael (Mimi), Nicholas (Valerie) and Kaytlyn (Carter); his great grandchildren, Ever, Klayden and Cailey; his nephews, Charles (Nicole), Cody (Michelle) and Chad; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hailey, Zoe, Scarlett, Isaac and Skylar.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in John's memory to First Tee Austin, a favorite animal rescue group, or Hope Alliance Crisis Center in Round Rock.
