He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Charles and Elsie Mae Bennett (Booth); his wife Kathleen Elrod Nichols; his stepson Wayne Nichols; and his grandson Blake Nichols.
He is survived by: his sons, Dean (Maria Nichols) and Ray (Linda Nichols); his grandchildren, Latisha Hemosillo, Codi Haigood, Kourtney Baker of Mikeal Tamez, J. C, Haley Wright, Jessica Sproles and Sarah Sproles; his great grandchildren, Kabryn, Madden, Dawson, Jayden, Bradley, Gwyneth, Jude and Iyla; and his pet Daisy.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Rotan Methodist Church (209 N McKinley Ave, Rotan, TX 79546). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Belvieu Cemetery. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rotan Methodist Church (209 N McKinley Ave, Rotan, TX 79546).
If lieu of flower, memorial may be made to the Rotan Volunteer Fire Department.
