She was predeceased by: her parents, John Henry Johnson and Ora Mae Johnson; her husband Columbus Carr Jr.; her sons, Curtis Carr, Columbus Carr III, Jerry Wayne Carr and Billy Ray Carr; and her siblings, Helen Golston, Ruthie Johnson, Isiah Johnson and William Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Arthur Lee Carr (Marye), Marilyn F. Carr and Linda Huitt (Thornton); and her goddaughters, Remona Pearson Bethany and Regina Pearson Jones. She is also survived by thirty-two grandchildren; fifty-eight great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.
