He was predeceased by: his spouse Margaret M. (Rice); and his child Bernard V. Hollinger. He is survived by: his children, Mary C. Fera (Daniel), Robert L. Hollinger, Jr. (Lynne), Kevin J. Hollinger, Teresa M. Cole (Lance), Florence A. Grejda (Michael) and Juliana M. Gondringer (Paul); and his siblings, Tom Hollinger and Also. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
