He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Smith, Sr. and Sarah Banks Smith; his siblings, Alana Smith, J. C. Smith, A. C. Smith, Jack Smith, Lee Smith, Lena, Jessie Lee, Mommie and Helen; and his grandson Terrence Franklin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dorothy Willis, Diann Jackson, Evelyn Prejean, Gladys Mitchell, Audrey Franklin, Ella Eason and Sharon Ervin. He is also survived by ses twenty grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
