He was predeceased by: his father Robert Lapidus; and his daughter Veronica Polendo. He is survived by: his wife Oralia Polendo; his children, Jorge Luis Polendo, Roberto Lavenant, Magdalena Polendo (Randy Davila) and Maria Chapa (Mario Chapa); his mother Maria Lapidus; his grandchildren, Kevin Davila, Kolton Davila, Kyson Davila, Kayden Davila, Luis Chapa, Alexis Chapa and Zaira Chapa; and his sisters, Magdalena Cognet and Gloria Lapidus Nino. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends.
