We are sad to announce that on December 9, 2023, at the age of 74, Janie Benestes Martinez of Rosenberg, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Jimmy Martinez Sr.; her parents, Ernest Benestes and Janie Rodriguez; her sons, Jimmy Martinez Jr., Jerry Martinez and Rudy Martinez; and her siblings, Virginia Lopez, Mary Prado, Christina Merla, Gloria Rosales and Jesse Benestes.

She is survived by : her children, Kenneth Martinez, Virginia Martinez, Lawrence Martinez and Bobby Martinez; her sisters, Lucie Vargas and Estella Gomez; and her daughter-in-law Joann Martinez. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.
