It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elodia Chapa of Rosenberg, Texas, who passed away on November 12, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Erasmo Garza and Benita Garza; her husband Graciano Chapa; and her siblings, Doroselia Gonzalez, Lidia Vasquez, Hector Garza, Seferino Garza and Ramiro Garza.
She is survived by: her children, Francisco J. Chapa, Graciano Chapa, Arnoldo Chapa, Dagoberto Chapa, Erasmo Chapa and Genaro Chapa; and her siblings, Ciprian Garza, Erasmo Garza, Jesus Mario Garza, Rosa Vasquez, Minerva Gonzalez and Benita Gonzalez. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren as well as other loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hernandez Rosenberg Funeral Home (800 4th St, Rosenberg, TX 77471). A rosary was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (1600 Avenue D, Rosenberg, TX 77471).
