He was predeceased by : his parents, Epifanio Acevedo and Clodin Acevedo; his siblings, Edward Acevedo and Laura Cavazos; and his in-laws, Richard and Frances Bijarro.

He is survived by : his wife Patricia Acevedo; his children, Christina LaChapelle (Nick), Mary Acevedo (Erica), Ben Acevedo (Eric Florian), Richard Acevedo, Joe Acevedo and George E. Acevedo (Elana); and his siblings, Danny Acevedo, Joe Acevedo, George Acevedo, Epi Acevedo, Sarah Acevedo, Esther Enriguez and Janie Cantu.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Caballero-Ryder Funeral Home (722 Grillo Way, Rosenberg, TX 77471). A prayer was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
