She was predeceased by: her parents, Pedro Bravo and Baudelia Torres Bravo; and her husband Joe Portillo. She is survived by: her son Manuel Portillo of Rosebud; her siblings, Manuel Bravo Sr. of Rosebud, Johnny Bravo of Rosebud, Steve Bravo of Lott, Joe O'Canas of Temple, Paula Pina of Rosebud, Mary Lou Tamez of Rosebud, Mary Tijerina of Rosebud and Rosa Portillo of Waco; and her grandson Matthew Portillo Rodriguez.
