He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Mary Reimer Thornton; his sisters, Dorothy Boutwell and Imogene Jones; his sons, Charles, James (Jimmy), Jerry (Shelley) and Craig (Lorry); his wife Charlotte Ann; his son Johnnie Jr.; his children-in-law, Donna and Louis Valis; his daughter Carla Valis; and his daughters-in-law, Louise, Kathy and Eileen. He was also cherished by 23 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a wonderful extended family and many friends.
