He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edwin Robert and Addie Mae Lunsford Maas Sr.; his grandson Eric Buster; his wife Opal Virginia Maas of Briary; his children, Mike Maas (Kay) of Briary and Margaret Burns (Tommy) of Kosse; his grandchildren, Kyle Maas, Kimberly Maas-Davis, Eddie Buster and Brady Burns; and his great grandchild Charles Michael Davis.
