She was predeceased by: her husband J. B. Cooper, Jr.; her parents, R. L. "Loffie" Adams and Margaret Wiman Adams; her brother Richard Adams; and her son-in-law Jay Hilliard.
She is survived by: her daughters, Alicyn Mayes (Randy) of Albuquerque, Sue Cannon (Skip) of Abilene and Eileen Hilliard of Lawton, Oklahoma; her sister Ann Lawrence of Houston; her sister-in-law Erika Adams of Lubbock; and her grandsons, Joel Mayes (Ruthie), Nathan Mayes, Daniel Mayes, Samuel Hilliard, Joseph Hilliard, Tristan Mayes, Gabriel Mayes and Micah Mayes.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McCoy Funeral Home (401 E 3rd St, Sweetwater, TX 79556). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Roscoe Cemetery (2376 104, Roscoe, TX 79545). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church.
