He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Joyce Cotton; his grandson Trevor Don Martin; and his siblings, Mary Elizabeth Monroe, Printy Rankin, Donna Vernon, Sue Nell Noel and J. T. Martin.
He is survived by: his children, Amy Boyd (Kent) of Loraine, Don Martin (Debbie) of Roscoe and Larry Martin (Carola) of Sweetwater; his grandchildren, Kassie Alexander (Jake), Derick Merket, Kara Johnson (Kade), Tyler Martin (Morgan), Tanner Martin (Morgan), Kaylee Martin, Corynn Martin and Christa Martin; and his brother George Martin of Abilene.
