Anita Cruz Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Anita Cruz of Roscoe, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 11, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Anita departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Anita may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Anita leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Juan Barrera and Celia Garza Barrera; her son Arthur Cruz; and her son-in-law Bill Jimenez. She is survived by: her children, Adam Cruz (Tina) of Roscoe, Rosa Hubanks (Roy), Isabel Jimenez of Conroe and Celia Pietzsch (Doc) of Roscoe. She is also survived by granddaughter that she helped raise Lisa Speck of Gulfport, Mississippi. 18 Grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 10 great -great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.
A prayer was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. A rosary was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Spirit Catholic Parish (507 W Alabama Ave, Sweetwater, TX 79556).
