He was predeceased by: his wife Rosa H. Silva; his parents, Benito Silva and Adelina Silva; and his sister Guillermina Lorenzana. He is survived by: his children, San Juanita Irene Silva, Rose Mary Rodriguez (Pablo) and Benito A. Silva (Mireyda); his grandchildren, Andrew Silva, Arturo J. Alvarado, Valerie Alvarado, Yasir Silva, Yahir Silva and Allison Rodriguez; and his siblings, Jose Luis Silva (Juany), Mario Silva (Jeanie), Amparo Salinas and Graciela Garza (Joe).
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Sanchez Memorial Funeral Home (101 Jesus Sanchez Ave, Roma, TX 78584). A rosary was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church (4 St Eugene De Mazenod Ave, Roma, TX 78584). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Val Verde Memorial Gardens Cemetery (6200 Val Verde Rd, Donna, TX 78537).
