He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clyde Samples and Violet Samples; his sisters, Patricia Helsley and Sandra Pollard; his wife Linda Harris Samples; his children, Kevin Samples and Tammy Samples Zeller; his grandchildren, Nathaniel, Grant, Katelin and Alexis; his children-in-law, Amanda Samples and Joel Zeller; his sisters-in-law, Sharon Bray (Dean), Kim Goforth and Patricia Wilson (Greg); and his siblings, Buddy Samples and Geraline Dugan.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lakepointe Church-The Bridge (701 E Interstate 30, Rockwall, TX 75087). A celebration of life was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
