He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Stelmar and Veronica Cicconi (Kamas); his wife Ellen Stelmar; his stepfather Henry J. Cicconi; and his son-in-law Floyd Dean Cuzick, Jr..
He is survived by: his child Stacy Stelmar-Cuzick; his granddaughter Sara Elizabeth Cuzick-Shira (Lindsey); his children, Emily Marie Cuzick (Josh Rippy), Marissa Helen Cuzick Geringer (Tyler), Thomas Edward Stelmar III (Tracy) and John William Stelmar (Jack); and his siblings-in-law, Chuck, Anne Cadwallader and Margaret Hajos. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rest Haven Funeral Home - Rockwall (2500 TX-66, Rockwall, TX 75087). A rosary was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 6:45 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (950 Trails Pkwy, Garland, TX 75043). A burial was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Rest Haven Memorial Park (2500 TX-66, Rockwall, TX 75087). A reception was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church (1305 Damascus Rd, Rockwall, TX 75087).
Over the past four decades, he held numerous leadership positions at the local level, but his biggest legacy was in recruiting over 1, 000 members to the Order — multiplying charity and helping to build up the Church.".
