Sarah Merritt Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sarah Merritt of Rockwall, Texas, who passed away on February 14, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Granstaff and Shelie Granstaff; her husband Melvin Merritt; her son Jamie Blanton; her grandparent Ollie John; and her son-in-law Ricky Featherston.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Ginger, Lisa and Paul; her great grandchildren, Heather Slayton and Patrick Featherston (Polly); her grandsons, Josh Slayton, Michael Slayton (Mandy), David Featherston (Jessica) and Josh Merritt (Jasmine); her brother Bob Granstaff; and her brother-in-law Billy Merritt (Barbara). She is also survived by family members, including her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rest Haven Funeral Home - Rockwall (2500 TX-66, Rockwall, TX 75087).
