He was predeceased by: his parents, Loomis Lawton and Mary Josephine Barger; his wife Hazel Colleene Parks Barger; his siblings, Avatine Barger, Sue Goodwin and Stan Barger; his granddaughter Lindsay; and his great grandchild Eric.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pam Reed (Allen) and Brenda Bingam (Kurt); his grandchildren, Kenneth, Misty, Bryan, Amanda, Brent, Summer and Brad; his great grandchildren, Paul, Kamryn, Juliette, Lauren, Lynette, Allie, Emory, Madison, Lilliana, Caleb, Rhett, Evie and Andy; and his siblings, Jo Crist and John Barger (Jan). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Chism-Smith Funeral Home (403 S Britain Rd, Irving, TX 75060). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery (266 Nevada Rd, Dumas, AR 71639).
