He is survived by: his wife Laurie Smith; his son Samuel Curtis Smith (Christen); his grandchildren, Farris and Franklin; and his siblings, Greg Smith (Julie), Jeff Smith (Sallye), Jane Browning (Charles), Mona Wilkerson (Danny), Julie Watt (Dale) and Byron Smith. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews.
