He is survived by: his wife Darlene Nichols of Rockwall; his daughter Ashley Reed (Derek); his grandchildren, Knox and Alivia of Englewood; and his sister Nancy Halverson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations in his honor be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
