He is survived by: his daughter Jessica Esquivel-Smith (Nick Smith); his grandchildren, Sean, Bresa, Anthony, Carlo and Jordan; and his siblings, Victor, Jose Esquivel, Sylvia Castañeda and Gracie Esparza.

Viewing was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas (4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
