With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dixie Lynette Brooks in Rockwall, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 9, 2024 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dimxce Fontenot and Myrtis Fontenot; her husband Frank Brooks; her brother Gary Fontenot; her nephew Jason Fontenot; and her great grandchild Piper Bethany McHone.
She is survived by: her daughters, Angie Hargrave (Brant) and Sonya Hervey (Terry) of Mesquite; her granddaughter Celeste Justice (Rick) of Cross Plains, TX.; her sister-in-law Dorothy Crockett of Clifton, TX.; her nephew Colby Crockett; her sister-in-law Margeret Williams of Alexandria, LA.; her niece Kim Brady; and her grandchildren, Lorna, Trey, Wesley, Joseph, Callie, Hunter, Erica, Nathan, Joel and Hannah. She is also survived by cousins and relatives.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (1003 College St, Forney, TX 75126).
