He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lyman Goelden and Rose Lee Goelden (Larmartina); his wife Barbara "Bobbie" Goelden; and his brother Peter Charles Goelden. He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle Goelden (Darren Hawks) and Melissa Metz (Darryl); his grandchildren, Brittany Metz Baker (Jared) and Kimberley Metz; his great grandchildren, Nathan, Jordan and Eliyanah Baker; his sisters, Patricia Blair (James), Sherry Goelden and Sarah Smith (David); and his siblings-in-law, Phylis Parker and Steven Michiels (Debbie).
