He was predeceased by: his father Raul Ruiz; and his brother Rodolfo Ruiz. He is survived by: his parent Josephia Ruiz; his wife Maria Mendez; and his children, Cirilo Ruiz and Elizabeth Ruiz. He is also survived by his grandchildren, mother, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, and many cousins.
