He is survived by: his wife Carrie Meinhausen; his children, Steven Matthew (Hannah) of Rockport, Texas, Erica Dilema (Herb) of Omaha, Nebraska, Jennifer Tavares (Joseph) of Phoenix, Arizona, Makenna Smith (August) of Rockport, Texas, Kacey Elder (James) of Rockport and Ellie Meinhausen of Rockport, Texas; his siblings, Kurt Meinhausen of Rockport, Texas, Allan Meinhausen of Nebraska, Tom Meinhausen of Rockport, Texas, Lew Meinhausen of Tucson, Arizona and Margaret Smith (Jim) of Flagstaff, Arizona; and his grandchildren, Evan Dilema, Mason Dilema, Stella Dilema, Juliet Tavares, James Tavares, Jack Tavares, Jude Tavares and Joseph Tavares.
