He was predeceased by: his parents, Julio Pena and Manuela Pena; his wife Carolyn Ann Pena; his stepbrothers, Benito Arispe, Joe Arispe and Lupe Arispe; and his sister Esparanza Martinez.
He is survived by: his children, Regina Romero (Joe Romero), Teresa Comeaux (Vance Comeaux), Bernadette Herrera (Richard Herrera) and Gabriel Pena; and his sister Lydia Mejorado (Tony Mejorado). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and 3 step-great grandchildren.
