He was predeceased by: his wife Esperanza Garcia; his sons, Pablo Garcia Jr. and Johnny Joe Garcia; his grandchildren, Liza Marie Saenz and Joe Ramirez Jr.; and his parents, Anastacio Garcia and Juanita Mendoza Garcia.
He is survived by: his daughters, Margaret Rodgers, Pat Peres, Enedelia See, Mary Alice Rushing, Peggy Stephens and Janie Partida. He is also survived by 21 grandkids and 6 great grandchildren.
