He is survived by: his children, Paula Bowden (Ric) of Port Lavaca and James Powell (Trish) of Rockdale; his sister Ann (Lowell Highnote) of McKinney; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Jacobs (Kristi) of Marble Falls, Jeremy Cox (Tess) of Rockdale, Chase Bowden (Kim) of Port Lavaca, Wade, Dylan, Hayes Jacobs, Jameson, Jonah, Nevina, Tex Cox, Jaxon, Waylon and Riverlyn Bowden.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Peace Lutheran Church (303 Meadow Dr, Rockdale, TX 76567).
