With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Ray Organ Sr. of Rockdale, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 10, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Michael Ray has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ola Pat and Wilma Irene Organ. He is survived by: his children, Michael "Mickey" Ray Organ, Jr. (Leslie) of Thorndale, Rodney Wayne Organ (Michelle) of Dripping Springs and Jennifer Lynn Organ (Scott) of South Carolina; his friend Mike; and his wife Nancy Powell of Lexington. He is also survived by seven grand children, cousins, and a host of friends.
In 1993, the LVFD recognized his contribution to the Department as president. In 2002, Lexington ISD gave him an award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the children of Texas and for his efforts to improve the quality of education as a teacher and coach at LISD.
