Though Gertharine may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gertharine touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjaman Twiggs and Zeffie Twiggs; and her husband Cornelius Green.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home (1041 US-79, Rockdale, TX 76567-4513). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Allen Chapel A. M. E. Church (260 East 3rd Street, Rockdale, TX 76567). A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Oak Lawn Cemetery (250 S Pear St, Rockdale, TX 76567).
