He was predeceased by: his parents, Juana Cecillio (Jacinto Bocanegra) and Sister Catalina Bocanegr Cecillio. He is survived by: his wife Martha Bocanegra; his children, Martha M Bocanegra (Mario Hernandez) and Jesus Bocanegra; his daughter-in-law Laylee Lankford; his daughter Daniela Bocanegra; his grandchildren, Tadeo Hernandez, Aileen Hernandez, Mario Hernandez and Weston Bocanegra; and his nieces and nephews, Jesus Bocanegra, Bernardo Bocanegra, Liborio Bocanegra, Angel Hernandez, Francisco Ibarra and Mario Hernandez. He is also survived by Five brothers, one sister, and numerous cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home (1041 US-79, Rockdale, TX 76567-4513). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St Joseph Catholic Church (234 San Gabriel St, Rockdale, TX 76567). A burial was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph Cemetery (461 South Highway 77 Rockdale, TX 76567).
