K.P." Kenneth A. Perry, 81, of Rock Island, Texas passed away on April 5, 2018 in Columbus, Texas. He was born on June 19, 1936 to Buck and Ruby (Ladewig) Perry in Matthews, Texas. Kenneth served in the United States Marines. He was a rancher and a former member of Rock Island Volunteer Fire Department for many years. Kenneth is survived by his special friend, Norma Hooper of Rock Island, TX; daughters, Terri Perry of Eagle Lake, TX, Debbie Taylor and husband Mike of Bridgeport, TX, and Jennifer Byrant and husband Forest of Rock Island, TX; son, Daniel Hooper and wife Laurie of Rock Island, TX; stepdaughter, Lori Zickuhr of Eagle Lake, TX; sisters, Carol Munch and husband John of Shiner, TX, Linda Swoboda and husband Marvin of Nada, TX, and Helen Capperton of Moody, TX; grandchildren, Nihla Perry, Kelcey Dota, Ryan Zickuhr, Kim Bone, Cullen Hatch, Cody Hatch, Kristen Hatch, Kaitlyn Hatch, Cole Bryant, Crit Hooper, and Kinley Hooper; great grandchildren, Megan, Hayden, Mycah, Braydon, Jack, and Luke; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Faye Perry, his parents, Buck and Ruby (Ladewig) Perry, stepson, James Alan Zickuhr, sisters, Margie Tate, Marion Autrey, June Perry, and Judy Pesnell, and brothers, Tommy, John, Sidney, and R.C. Perry. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday April 28, 2018 at 10:00 am at Rock Island Full Gospel Church in Rock Island, TX with Pastor Calvin Harris officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Eagle Lake, TX. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society - Colorado County Unit, 4401 Lilac St., Victoria, TX 77901; or charity of your choice.
