He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clopton and Emma Lou Clopton (McCown); his child Baby Clopton; his grandchildren, Julie Patocka and Shaylynn Hilton; and his brothers, Yancy Clopton and Jay Clopton.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Clopton of Rochester, Texas; his children, Luisa Harrell (Joe) of Abilene, Texas and Tristan Clopton of Rochester, Texas; and his siblings, Dale Clopton (Brenda) of Knox City, Texas, Pam Henson (Johnny) of Burnet and Margaret Gardner (James) of North Carolina. He is also survived by four grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
