He was predeceased by: his parents, Suzana Gonzales and Leo Gonzales. He is survived by: his wife Lupe Gonzales (Sarabia) of Rochester; his sons, Jesse Gonzales, Jr. of Rochester and Samuel Gonzales of Rochester; his grandchildren, Mason Burson of Abilene and Callee Smith of Baggs, WY; and his siblings, Leo Gonzales, Jr. of Quannah, Mary Magana of Frisco, Christina Diaz of Breckenridge, Tommie Villanueva of Mckinney and Sylvia Gallardo of Granbury. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
