He was predeceased by: his parents, Juanita Garcia (Barrios) and Cruz Garcia; his brother Cruz Garcia; and his children, Michelle Santillan and Dusty Garcia.
He is survived by: his wife Isabel Garcia of Rochester, Texas; his children, Ignacio C. Ortiz, Jr. (Rosie) of Big Lake, Felix C. Ortiz of Kermit, Robert Ortiz of Stamford, Adam Garcia, Jr. (Paula), Paul Garcia of Abilene, Texas, Jessica Hernandez Ortiz (Carlos) and Paula Hernandez of Knox City, Texas; and his siblings, Reynaldo Garcia (Isabell), Francis Rodriguez of Haskell and Mary Villareal of Haskell, Texas. He is also survived by numerous grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Homes (304 N 2nd St, Haskell, TX 79521). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the First Baptist Church (500 Main St, Rochester, TX 79544).
