He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Geronimo and Ramona Alvarado; his brother Rogelio Alvarado; and his stepfather Fernando Trevino. He is survived by: his parents, Jose Alvarado and Rosalinda Alvarado; his wife Ida Silva; his children, Victoria Alvarado (Ruben Sandoval), David Jr., Gilbert, Geronimo and Jeremiah Alvarado; and his siblings, Dalia Rubio (Jesse), Sally Adame (Richard), Gina Marquez (Luis), Jose Carlos, Benito (Diana), Martin (Elizabeth) and Gilbert Alvarado (Christina).
