She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Langel and Waltraud Rofleisch Langel; and her husband Charles Roden. She is survived by: her daughters, Rike Roden Haj and Audrey Roden Lyons; her son-in-law Jamal Haj of Houston; her grandchildren, Julia and Adam; her son-in-law Darrell Lyons, Jr. of Robinson, Texas; and her siblings, Rike Langel of Belgium and Ingo Langel of Portugal. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ute's name may be made to The Juvenile Diabetes Association and the American Cancer Society.
