She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Fry and Viola Fry; her son Donald Floyd Merritt; her sister Viola Ellenore Langbein; her husband Leonard H. Rouse Sr.; her former husband Donald R. Merritt; and her son-in-law Samuel Y. D. Kanouse.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Ann Merritt (Burks), Dalena Ellenore Merritt (Kanouse) and Leonard Herman Rouse II; and her grandchildren, Tanya Mynar, Missyann Rochell, Ginna Wayland, Dominique Basler, Danielle MacDonnell, Ariyana Rouse, Nathan Merritt, Timothy Merritt and Derrick Kanouse. She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren.
