He was predeceased by: his parents, Malcom Payne and Pearl Payne. He is survived by: his wife Judy McDowell; his children, Andrea Dossey (Nathan), Aaron Payne (Toni) and Andrew Payne (Olivia); his grandchildren, Gavin, Grant, Madison, Lindsay, Emery, Seth, Cayden, Owen, Silas and Elena; his brother Malcom Payne Jr. (Jeanetta); and his niece Leslie Ricketts (Alan). He is also survived by other nieces, nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Waco Memorial Funeral Home (6623 I-35, Robinson, TX 76706). A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
