He was predeceased by: his parents, Wicker Pennington and Beatrice Pennington (Williams); his brothers, Junior, Johnny and Billy Pennington; and his sons-in-law, Timothy Wise (Tim) and Jeffrey Mathis (Jeff).
He is survived by: his children, Edward Pennington (Debbie), Margaret Ann Wise (Cullen) and Lori Elizabeth Mathis; his brother-in-law Dr. Phil Evans; and his grandchildren, Lori Wise, Elizabeth Goss (Christian), Dr. Alyson Vokes (Colin Vokes) and Marcus Pennington (Morgan).
In place of flowers, the family requests that gifts or memorials be made to The Methodist Children's Home or Meals on Wheels.
