He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Edward Nixon and Alma Gean Gargus-Nixon; and his wife Wanda Nixon. He is survived by: his children, Ray Smith, Eddie Lee Nixon, Robert Lee Nixon Jr. and Rebecca Clark; and his siblings, Debbie Knight, Judy Nixon, Jimmy and Gary Nixon. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren.
