She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Lara, Sr. and Sara Ybarra Lara; her husband Alberto Garza; her siblings, Joe Lara, Mary Ochoa, Vivian Flores, Conchita Espinosa, Frances Garcia and Ynez Lara; and her granddaughter Tamara Lynn Doss.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Abalos (Manuel), Elsa D. Wood, Sara Cruz (Rey) and Caesar Delapena; her grandchildren, Cynthia Skipworth (J. P.), Angela Abalos of Charles Abalos, R. J, Cruz (Kristin), Brian Abalos (Brittny), Julia Cruz-McCormick (Brandon), Jennifer Rene, Albert Delapena (Jalina), Christina Delapena, Austin Delapena and Jesslin Wood; her siblings, Luther Lara (Lydia), Luis Lara (Yolanda), Janie Munoz (Jimmy) and Jimmy Lara (Martha); and her pet Julio. She is also survived by twenty-seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
