It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brenda (Tate) Shanklin of Roanoke, Texas, born in Waurika, Oklahoma, who passed away on November 4, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Brenda leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Brenda may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Leon Tate and Ruth Tate (Chadwick); her husband Dean; her daughter Michelle Pinson; her grandson Landon Shelton; her children, Curtis Pinson (Shedara) and Stephanie Whitlatch (Bill Whitlatch); and her grandchildren, Journie Pinson (Nick), Quinton Pinson and Nathan Pinson.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home (1401 Halsell St, Bridgeport, TX 76426). A graveside service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Vashti Cemetery.
